Aganorsa Leaf honors the legacy of Arsenio Ramos with the new Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio cigar line, shipping to retailers this Monday. Ramos, who passed away in 2018, served as Aganorsa Leafβs master blender for 18 years and significantly shaped the brandβs flavors and quality.
A Blend of Excellence
Ramos’ favorite blend inspired the Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio. The cigar uses Nicaraguan tobaccos grown on Aganorsaβs farms. It features a Corojo β99 wrapper from Jalapa, Criollo β98 binders from EstelΓ, and a mix of fillers from Jalapa and Condega. This combination creates a medium-bodied cigar with balanced and rich flavors.
Sizes and Prices
The Aganorsa Leaf Arsenio comes in three sizes:
- Robusto: 5 1/4 inches by 54 ring gauge, priced at $15.99
- Toro: 6 inches by 52 ring gauge, priced at $16.99
- Corona: 6 inches by 44 ring gauge, priced at $14.99, noted as Ramosβ favorite size
Each cigar features an image of Arsenio Ramos on both the bands and the blue 15-count boxes, adding a personal touch to the tribute.
Limited Production
This year, Aganorsa Leaf limited the production to enhance exclusivity. They produced 2,000 boxes each of the Toro and Robusto sizes, and 1,500 boxes of the Corona. This limited release highlights the special nature of this tribute and the craftsmanship involved in each cigar.
Extra Rest for Perfection
Initially scheduled for release in the spring, Aganorsa delayed the launch to allow more time for the cigars to rest. βWe felt they needed more time to rest before packing,β said Terence Reilly, Aganorsaβs vice president of sales and marketing. βThis is an important release in honor of Arsenioβs life and contribution to Aganorsa, so we decided to let the cigars rest a couple extra months. Now they are validated and ready to smoke.β
This commitment to quality ensures that each cigar is in prime condition, providing a smoking experience worthy of its namesake.
