Celebrating 24 Years of Habanos Ediciones Limitadas
It’s been 24 years since the introduction of the first Ediciones Limitadas—Limited Editions of Habanos, which included Hoyo de Monterrey Particulares, Montecristo Robustos, Partagás Pirámides, and Romeo y Julieta Exhibición No. 2. These limited editions stand out for their distinctive packaging and the exclusive nature of the Habanos they contain. Produced in small quantities, these Habanos feature unusual or unique vitolas and have a minimum aging period of two years. Both the boxes and the cigars are marked with a band inscribed “Edición Limitada” and the year of release.
A Legacy of Excellence
To date, there have been 68 Ediciones Limitadas across 12 brands. These editions remain highly anticipated and cherished by premium tobacco enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.
Cohiba’s Iconic Releases
Cohiba, the most iconic brand of Habanos, S.A., has released seven Ediciones Limitadas throughout its history. Some of these editions have become legendary, including:

Trinidad’s 55th Anniversary
Among the 12 brands in the Ediciones Limitadas, Trinidad stands out as it celebrates its 55th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, Trinidad will launch the Trinidad Cabildos Edición Limitada 2024 at the inaugural in-person Habanos World Days on June 22nd in London.
Special Presentation of Trinidad Cabildos Edición Limitada 2024
This exclusive and unique vitola, named “Cabildos,” honors the Villa de Santísima Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and pays tribute to one of the first cabildos founded in Cuba during the colonial era. The Trinidad Cabildos Edición Limitada 2024 will be presented in a specially designed case containing 12 Habanos, “Totally handmade with Long Filler.” The leaves (Wrapper, Filler, and Binder) were carefully selected from the Vuelta Abajo area in Pinar del Río, Cuba, known for producing the world’s finest tobacco, and aged for at least two years.
Modern Innovations
In addition to the Edición Limitada band and the commemorative foot band celebrating the 55th anniversary, these Habanos feature NFC technology for security and communication. This special release is just one of the surprises planned for this “Trinidad Year,” to be unveiled at the Habanos World Days in London from June 20th to 22nd.
